5C now reads:  (C) Animals must be under the care and management of the exhibitor for the following time prior to the fair. Beef 120 days, Lambs 60 days, Swine 90 days.  AND the Exhibitor must have the proper paperwork from the County/State that the exhibitor resides in.  The animal has to reside in the same county as the exhibitor.  Furthermore final decisions on this topic will be at the discretion of show management.

The Aims and Purposes of the Central Washington Junior Livestock Show are to teach modern selection, raising and showing techniques to beef, sheep, and hogs.  To promote and understanding of the beef, sheep and hog industry in youth, and provide healthy competition that promotes life skills, such as sportsmanship, proper decision making and responsibility with the “hands on” approach of learning  by doing.  Implementing food safety and quality assurance are promoted by requiring good record keeping, proper handling of livestock feeds and additives, and the proper use of animal health products.  The moral responsibility of each livestock exhibitor cannot be stressed enough.

Money for premiums, prizes, and awards necessary for the function of the Central Washington Junior Livestock Show are supported by funds from the State of Washington.  The sponsoring agency for the Central Washington Jr. Livestock Show is the Washington State Department of Agriculture.  We thank the Washington Fairs Commission for their continued support of our activities.

Operation and maintenance is financed through donations, memberships, and public support.  Most functions of the livestock show are accomplished by the many volunteers that are generous enough to share their valuable time.
